Moses Bath 100 km from Sharm el-Sheikh in the city of El-Tor A few kilometers from the city of El-Tor rises from Mount El-Tor a hot spring flowing into a carved stone house known as “Mr. Moses’ Bath”: Moses’ Bath,
Moses’ Bath
Legend has it that Moses and his people rested here during the exodus. They were looking for water, so Moses asked an old woman at this spring: Is the water good to drink? The old woman answered saying that this water is not good to drink, but she lied, there is nothing wrong with the water.
Moses turned to God and said: O Lord, help us. If this water is good to drink, but it was not given to us, make it not good to drink and bless us. “And so it was done….”
From that day on, this source became known as Moses’ Bath and this water is no longer good to drink, but it is full of beneficial properties.
The water temperature is 27 degrees and is beneficial for skin diseases and arthritis due to the high percentage of magnesium, sodium and sulfur.
The feeling you get after bathing can best be described as follows: you feel relaxed and you will feel a tingling sensation on your skin as all the little bubbles remain on it. For days you will feel that your skin has become firmer and stronger.
The Moses Bath is located among palm trees and is currently under construction to receive several guests. Today there are thermal baths built around this natural hot spring.
After that we go to have lunch in one of the local restaurants in the city and visit the Church of St. George and then return to Sharm El Sheikh
